Once there was a snowman...

We had a ton of snow dump on us the other day and it was perfect for packing to make a snowman. Which Ethan has been wanting to do since the beginning of winter.

Santa Train

We had the opportunity to go on a special Military Santa train that BNSF puts on for veterans. It was such a neat experience. The kids loved the train ride and thought they were on the Polar Express with it all decorated and Christmas music playing. We were served tons of snacks and of coarse HOT CHOCOLATE!!! Then Santa came and visited us at our seats and gave everyone a special ornament to remember the event.




Then as a special suprise we met up with some friends afterwards. We didn't tell Ethan who so it was so fun to see thier reaction we they saw each other. I am so glad we got to meet up with them! Such good buddies!

A sad day...

So this last weekend on Saturday a tragedy happened. Our sweet little puppy passed away. He wasn't with us for as long as we were expecting but we loved every second with him. We are heartbroken and miss him very much.

New Things...

So now that we have a new house (I know I have been bad about posting and I promise I will post pictures of our new house) we got a puppy. Meet Roscoe....


He is a Chihuahua Beagle mix or a Chihueagle. Isn't he cute? We think he is.

We also got a new computer desk. Our old one was the first piece of furniture that Nathan and I bought together as a married couple. We actually had our first married couple fight putting that desk together. This one went together much smoother...does that mean we both have matured and grown in our relationship?? But then again we did have words to say to our children while assembling the desk....

First day of School

After a move and a hard decision of changing our minds many times we decided to move Ethan to a new school that is closer to our new home. At first Ethan was really upset. He loved his old school and all his friends. But now that he has been in school for a few weeks his new school is growing on him. Amie also is going to a new pre school...needless to say our first day of school this year was an interesting one.


Amie is at school 3 days a week now. It is nice to only have one baby at home for a few hours. I can't believe how much she is growing up.


My Big boy!!! I can't believe he is in First grade. He loves school and is such a fast learner. It sure is nice to be able to walk to school now.

Camping and Amie's Birthday

Earlier this summer we went camping and got to do some rock wall climbing. The kids had fun and did really well...

My Princess turned 4 this summer! I can't believe how big she is getting.

Amie's take on her mom

"This is my mother. Her name is Emily. She is about 15 years old. She has blue eyes and brown hair. She weighs about 13 pounds. Her facorite food is hambergers from McDonalds. She is smart, she knows all about shoppin' for my clothes, and helpin' out at brother's school. She spends most of her time havin' fun with me and brother. Best of all mother likes to hide under blankies in her room. Mother takescare of me by letting me do the jobs! I think my mother is best in the world because her takes care of us with love. If I could wish for anything in the world for my mother, it would be for to be in that new house so some people can look at our house.

Emily and Nate plus Eight (years)

Eight years ago today I was sealed for Time and all Eternity to Nathan! It has been eight years of blessings and trials but what a great ride. Here's to another Great Eight!!

Nathan's Birthday

Nathan turned the 32 this year. I keep telling him he is sooo old! I guess when I hit my 30's I will fell bad for giving him such a hard time but until then, I really don't feel so bad.

Easter

This year for Easter we had all the grandkids come up for a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's. It was so fun to see my sister's girls they are all really close to the age mine. And they love to play with each other.




Here is all of them together. It was pretty cold and the "slight breeze" didn't help much. On the top row is Teagan, Amie, Ethan, Kaylee, Ashley, and the babies on the bench are Paige, Aubree, and Brookley.

So you know how all parents have "those" pictures. They always threaten to bring them out and show all your friends and future dates. Well I thought I would bring them out a little soon then file them away, for future use...

Crazy week

This past week has been crazy. It all started Friday evening we were heading home from an amazingly fun trip to Seattle. We met from friends at the museum and had a blast playing then loved the time we had window shopping at Ikea. On the way home Aubree zonked out and all was quiet, maybe a little too quiet. When she woke up she was upset I got her a binki and she calmed down, then we were getting off the exit to our home and she threw up everything that could possible be in her sweet little tummy. Then Saturday she was still not keeping anything down and was so thirsty it was breaking my heart. So I called the doctor and he suggested we take her to the ER. She was given an IV and some anti-nauseu meds which helped her and she seemed to be acting much better. while we were there they noticed she had some blood in her throw up so they said to watch her and contact the Dr. if there was any more problems. Sunday came and we thought we were through the worst of it. She was keeping fluids down and seemed to have some more energy.

Then Monday morning came, and with it brought more of the nasty stuff. So we made her an appointment to see the Dr. He looked at her and said to take her to the Hospital and have them put another IV in. Well she wasn't doing any better this time after the IV and had more blood in her vomit. So they admitted her to keep a close watch. She was so lathargic it was scarey. As a mother you never want to see your babies look so sad or sick. I wished I could make everything better to trade places with her. Finally after two days she started acting better and keeping things down, so we got to come home. I am so glad to be back home and have Aubree feeling better. It is so good to see her Beautiful smile.

Aubree's Birthday and Pacific Science Center

I can't believe Aubree is already one. She is such a sweet baby. I have enjoyed every second with her. It is so sad to look back and realize how fast time goes. I would love to keep her just like this for a little bit longer. She has started walking and is so proud of herself. She will take a few steps then clap and laugh, then take some more steps. Ethan and Amie love to encourage her.


Nathan had a few days off so we took the kids to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. Ethan and Amie loved it. It was a lot of fun to see how excited they got. There was a little wadding pool where you could touch some sea creatures. I was surprised to see Ethan and Amie both sticking their hands in and feeling the animals.

Christmas 09

We had a great Christmas. My mom made matching jammies for all the grandkids, who were all there at grandma and grandpa's house. 7 girls and 1 boy. It was so much fun. All the adults had jammies that were closely matched with the kids.

For Amie's preschool field trip for December we went on a Santa Train. Tyler and Brittany were able to come with us which the kids loved. It was so much fun to spend some time with the both of them.



Amie's preschool also had their show. It was so cute, they did the Little Red Hen makes a pizza with the Three Little Pigs. Amie was the dog and she did her line perfect. She said, "Not I. Ruff, Ruff." Super Cute!

November 2009

November was a little less busy. We found a home to move into in a cute little neighborhood. We are loving all the space and had a blast decorating for the holidays. Thanksgiving was nice and quiet. We basically spent the time unpacking and spending time together. Nathan also ended up working most of the holiday weekend. We did have him for Thanksgiving day. We had so many things to be Thankful for this year.





Earlier in the month Ethan's school put on a Veteran's day assembly for all the veterans. Nathan and my dad we able to come. It was such a neat experience. All the Kindergarten kids gave the vets a card they made and a flower. There were songs sung and stories read. The older kids put together reports on the previous wars and then gave them. The Kindergarten kids are the ones in the front with star headbands on.

October 2009

October was a busy month for us. Ethan turned 6, Halloween, and we moved out of our apartment. Nathan also got a full time job working for a unit that is now deployed to Iraq. He is the rear detachment SGT in the office. So basically he takes care of all the office work here that needs to be done so th unit can focus on their mission. He really enjoys where he works and we are so thankful for the job that he has.
